From the cosmic caverns of mystic truth and intergalactic knowhow of tomorrow come two mindblowing live dolphin symphonies by Haunted Beard on one 90-minute cassette.
With the Fall months approaching, the one thing I’ve been trying to focus on (when it comes to Vidkid) is maintaining a consistent amount of releases every few months. So in November, two cassettes that I’m rather excited about will be released. One of them is a recording of two Haunted Beard shows entitled Flaunt N’ Smeared. The other is a triple split cassette (60 minutes long, 20 minutes to each artist) featuring Shipyards, Haunted Beard and Les Beyond. I’m really motivated by the reception that Cool Sound Death has recieved, and I hope to continue putting out releases for a while.
Interstellar Discussion was a great success. Thanks to the attendees and the venue, Goonies for making it such a good time. The above picture is from Haunted Beard’s set, where the band started playing inside a tent with glow-in-the-dark facepaint on.
A few shows coming up in the following months:
Twee Death presents City Center (Brooklyn), Tigerhead, Haunted Beard @ Little Mountain Studios (195 East 26th Avenue), Thursday October 1 (fb)
On Friday September 4, Vidkid is hosting an audiovisual event called Interstellar Discussion, at Goonies (108 East Hastings). Haunted Beard, DNGROUS ADDRESS, and Artency will be performing music and sound with visual accompaniment. Show starts at 8pm until late. (facebook)

“Cool Sound Death stands out as a compelling argument for getting to know Vancouver’s bizzaro digi-noise scene.” — Sarah Berman, Discorder

Forthcoming happenings — Haunted Beard will be playing along with Fine Mist and Candles on June 20 at Goonies. The show is being organized by Memewar to celebrate the release of their 9th issue. Goonies is located at 108 East Hastings and admission is $10.
Pump That Shit Up is the name of a mix by Rhythm Ace. It’s a frenetic 18 minutes of samples from the most obnoxious dance music from the last 30 years. Pump That Shit Up is great for parties with your friends. It is available for free, to listen or download.
Long requested but never released until now! Released in a limited run of 10 diskettes, as one highly compressed mp3 file to make it sound like it’s coming out of a trash can. Sold out forever.
